My Dad Rocks

I told you I love my Dad and this T-shirt says it all.

I think I'm a bit of a cutie in this photo?!!!!!

Startled

I'm so glad that Dad works from home, it means I get to have a cuddle any old time I like. Mum still seems to think its a novelty; she surprised me when she pulled out the camera again...

Sitting Practice

Thank heavens for these cushions - I think I would be on the floor by now without them, especially when I have a good giggle!

Zucchini - not my favourite.

When my bum hits my high chair, I know food is just around the corner, and that is good news!!

Why have you pulled that camera out again Dad?

Now that's just cruel, you were just waiting to see whether I liked zucchini!! Well, now you know that its not one of my favourites.

Winding down

After dinner it is time for a nice story and some quiet time. Then my Winnie-the-pooh mobile sends me off to sleep within five minutes. Mum and Dad always go on about how good I am for sleeping easily, but really, if you are tired, what else would you do???

Nice and high in my chair

The big change since getting back is I now use my high chair. It gives me lots of sitting up practice, but more importantly, I know when I am about to be fed now. Mummy has been very busy preparing lots of nice things for me to try. I have been working my way through some pureed vegetables; pumpkin (they call it squash over here) and sweet potato are my faves.

Not sure why daddy has to drag the camera out everytime i get in the chair.

Nice n' cosy

This sheep skin is great to lie on, it is sooo soft. I have only had one accident on it so far (carrot puke), but there is plenty of time yet for some more of that.

I wish dad would stop asking me if my teeth have come in yet. NO, they haven't, and stop sticking your finger in my mouth, or when I have teeth I will bite your finger. I am sure it won't be long now.

English summer

So, after three whirlwind days of sites, food, heat and harpies in Hong Kong, we have finally arrived back in England. I'm a bit confused, though, someone said it was summer??!!
I probably shouldn't have expected anything else - rain, rain and floods.

It's going to be a bit harder going for our walks, when we need the rain cover and an umbrella just to step out the front door!

Hopefully the rain won't get too much in the way, as I do like getting the ocassional breath of fresh air ...

Too many cuddles!!

I know this won't supirse you guys very much, but I was the star attraction up on the mountain looking out of Hong Kong. The request for cuddles and photos never seemed to end, and after such a long and hot day I just wasn't up for any more. Don't those girls (I prefer to call them harpies) know that their squeals of delight are not that delightful from where I was sitting?

Luckily my daddy was close at hand and we had a nice 'time out' together.

Trek to the Summit

Well, here goes, we're on our way to the top of the mountain - can you see my tongue is poking out with the intense concentration?

And here we are at the top - what an amazing view! I had a lovely feed while the sun went down - so we got to see all the lights at night, it was brilliant!

Hong Kong Park

Another million steps up to the aviary in Hong Kong Park. It was very, very hot and sweaty, and we only had 5 minutes until they closed the door(!) but there were some pretty cool birds in there. Again, I slept most of the time, so I'll have to have a better look next time.

10 000 steps?

We visited the Temple of 10,000 Budhas in Sha Tin. Mum swore there were 10,000 steps up to the temple rather than 400!
The light in this photo looks promising, but I didn't find enlightenment at the top.

I have no idea why they call this the 10,000 buddhas?

The view was excellent from such a vantage point, but it was a rather long way up and there was lots of sweatiness and complaining going on.

Dragon Boat Racing

We travelled to Sha Tin to see the Dragon Boat races, but by the time we got there, the races had finished - what a shame, cause it would have been fun (can you see the grumpy look on my face?)
Oh well, we had a stroll through this 'new territory' and had a little rest in the park.
