Close to Home

Some days we just stayed close to the farmhouse (and still had a FAB time!)

I wonder if THAT puddle is worth jumping in...

And when the sun went down, it was back to the nice, cosy couch.

How does this crazy remote work?

Discovering Dundee

This ship "Discovery" went on 3 scientific expeditions to Antarctica (between 1901 - 1930) and now lives in Dundee.

We had such a good time exploring it!!

Ma, if we both concentrate, we might just be able to load this cargo!

OK, everything is all loaded up, let's go!!

My sea legs are a little wonky..

All Aboard!!

Is that a storm brewing Daddy?

(Its freezing here - but I guess it was a little colder in Antarctica.)

Are we on course now?

Tourism in Dunkeld

I'm sure Ma was smiling for a photo outside Dunkeld Cathedral, even though it was miserable weather (ie sleet)

Mummy wasn't feeling well and so wan't doing such a good job at smiling (but I was blissfully ignorant!)

These rabbits in the Beatrix Potter garden are as still as can be!

Ma and I played outside (in the snow!) while Mum, Dad and Pa did a tour of the Edradour Distillery (the smallest in Scotland). They seemed to think it was great, and came out with something in a brown paper bag.

A Man's Job

While the girls are getting ready, I better deice the car; its one of the worst things about winter!

(What a beautiful little helper I am!!)

Out in the Fresh Air

Give me a stick, some gumboots and some mud and I'm happy as Larry!

Mmm, I think that is a bit more than a puddle!

No way Ma, I'm not gonna even try!

These trees sure are tall, hey Pa!

What is happening over there?

CAREFUL DADDY!

Puddles in Scotland

We're in my home country for a bit of a holiday. Its a bit wet, but that means there are lots of PUDDLES! Thankfully I have 3 supervisors and a camerawoman on hand to make sure I don't fall into this one!

How about this one; is it safe??
Ma stayed close by to make sure.
This one looks a wee bit deeper...(no, Mummy wouldn't let me go into that one!)

And Daddy wouldn't let me go into this one either - it had ice on the top and everything!!

Dr Matthew Whincop

This is my Daddy - Dr Whincop to the rest of you, please!

Mum and I are so proud of Dad (and glad that all this study is finally finished...)

I think Ma is a little proud of her son?!
I sat right up the front of Durham Cathedral with Ma - so close that Daddy gave me a kiss on the way down the aisle! Later Mummy and Pa heard me call out "Daddy" in the middle of the ceremony (from way down the back of the church...)

Dad's Supervisor Graham was there to make sure he didn't make any mistakes on the day.

Dad was really pleased that his good friend Andy graduated on the same day.

More Fun at Shildon Railway Park

This wobbly bridge is lots of fun!!

Daddy demonstrating the see-saw (only for my benefit of course).

Like father, like son (note the tongue!)

Wow, after all that playing, I'm pooped! This hammock is great for a little rest!

Hey, this is the heaviest suitcase I have ever seen!

Well, we've had a great day, but I suppose we should head home now. When does that train arrive Daddy?

Shildon Railway Park

Shildon National Railway museum is great, and the park is BRILLIANT as well - this is the fastest slide ever!
(I think Mum and Dad enjoyed it just as much as I did!)

Hey, what happened to Mum??!

BRILL - can we go again?!!

The House Chef(s)

Aunty Linda made Dad and I these groovy aprons for Christmas, so we are putting them to good use!
Many thanks to the Praum family!!

Hadrian's Wall

Well, Mum and Dad may have been to Hadrian's Wall a dozen times, but this is my first and I think it is BRILLIANT!

Let's go!!

Check out these groovy hidey holes!

Maybe when I grow up I can study what the people were like when they lived here?

WHAT? There's even more stuff UNDER the ground?

Pa is being very brave in the snow, but one does have to wonder why the Roman's went to so much trouble to defend this part of land; it is pretty bleak up here!!
